2024 Topps Update Value box, good value?

In early November, I went to a sports card shop. My plan was to buy a magnetic cardholder. I entered the card shop and said hello to the shop owner. Interestingly, a friend from Canada was there. We haven’t met for a while. It was so great to see him again.

At the same time, another customer was there and was looking for some baseball cards. The shop owner indicated that there were some value boxes of the 2024 Topps Update available. Suddenly, the shop owner asked me if I wanted it.

Well, I was thinking about buying some hobby packs of the 2024 Topps update. However, I didn’t see any hobby packs available. Hence, a value box might be the only option for me.

So, I bought a value box of the 2024 Topps update. And let’s see what I got.

For me, I always look for some cool rookie cards. This time, I got 2 Jackson rookie cards. One is a Jackson Chourio rookie card and the other is a Jackson Merrill rookie card. Two Jacksons have pretty good starts in their careers and it’s not bad to add those rookie cards into my collection.

Nonetheless, if you ask me whether I will buy this product again. I would be thinking again. Previously, there was always a patch card in a value box. But now, it has changed. Basically, you can only look for some parallel cards in a value box. It’s not that easy to find a patch card or a hit. Thus, if you’re really looking for a hit, it will be better to buy hobby products.
