2025 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary, again

Previously, I bought a blaster box product of the 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary. I got 3 numbered cards. For me, that was pretty fun. Additionally, I was just thinking if there are 2 numbered cards in each blaster box.

2026 series 1 Japan edition

A friend sent me a message a few weeks ago. He was going to Japan for a business trip and he asked me if I needed something. I thought for a while and decided that baseball cards seem to be a good idea.

I used to watch Sonny Gray pitch in Oakland when he played for the Athletics. So, every time, when there’s a discussion about Sonny Gray, I always want to listen to what they said.

A few days ago, I listened to a podcast show. In the show, a guest asked a question about total bases. The discussion was very interesting. After listening to the show, I just thought about some questions.

First inning struggle?

I was watching a baseball game on TV. An elite pitcher was on the mound, however, it seems that he had some problems in the first inning. I chatted with some friends at the same time, then a friend asked if that pitcher’s performance wasn't so good in the first inning.

Topps chrome has been a must for a lot of collectors. For me, I usually buy some each year. This year, things don’t change. But there was one thing. I didn’t buy it once this product was released.

In late August, I read news about Giancarlo Stanton. Well, it’s not a surprise. Again, Stanton sustained an injury. This time, he might not come back in 2026.

A few days ago, I watched some highlights on the MLB website. Randomly, I saw highlights which showed Murakami’s home runs. So far this season, Murakami has blasted 30+ home runs and it’s his first year in the majors.

I already purchased 4 boxes of the 2025 Topps Holiday mega box. Well, the results were fine. I found 2 hits and got 3 chrome cards. It was fun to open those boxes and I did find something interesting.

Just a few days ago, I read a book about a pitcher’s journey in the majors. That player will soon become a Hall of Famer when he is first eligible. In the book, Zack Greinke, who was a teammate of that pitcher, was mentioned. Well, it seems that Greinke hasn’t officially announced his retirement. However, the last time he pitched in the majors was in 2023.

After being traded

A few days ago, we reviewed some pitchers’ performances after being traded to a new team. This time, let’s shift our focus on position players. Several position players were sent to a new team and let’s see if they have done a great job in a new uniform.

A few weeks ago, I watched a game on TV. An analyst mentioned a player’s performance, and he indicated the pitcher has thrown some complete games so far in his career.

August just came to an end. The final month of the 2026 regular season is coming. This might be a very interesting month because a lot of teams are fighting hard for a spot in the postseason. I listened to a podcast show a while ago. In the show, an analyst mentioned a team’s rotation and indicated that the team has done a great job to maintain its pitchers’ health. So the team’s rotation has been quite steady over the last few years.

It’s a sports card shop that I haven’t visited for quite a while. Well, as I remember that the last time I went there was some time before the covid-19 pandemic. I used to go there several times.

Previously, I already opened 3 mega boxes of the 2025 Topps Holiday. Well, I was thinking that 3 boxes were enough. However, a few weeks ago, I saw vendors on amazon were selling a 2025 Topps Holiday mega box at a discount price.

So far this season, his OPS is below .700. Well, his OPS was over .700 last season. Moreover, from 2021 to 2023, he finished each season with an OPS over .800.

The 2026 Topps series 2 arrived in June. A few days after this product was released, I accidentally passed by a sports card shop. The owner is really nice and I saw some value boxes there. I decided to buy one value box and the owner asked me to choose one.

The 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary was released in June 2026. Well, I don’t know if this is a delay or originally planned. Anyway, this product was released and this time, the design took us back to 1955. In this set, you will see current players, rookies and retired players.
