2025 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary, again

Previously, I bought a blaster box product of the 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary. I got 3 numbered cards. For me, that was pretty fun. Additionally, I was just thinking if there are 2 numbered cards in each blaster box.

Well, that was just a guess. A few weeks ago, I went to a sports card shop. Interestingly, I saw a value box of the 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary there. I was just wondering if I should buy it. I thought about it for a few minutes and I made a decision.

And, let’s see what I got this time.

Base cards: Mike Trout, Freddy Peralta, Bobby Witt Jr., Jackson Holliday, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Salvador Perez, Kyle Schwarber, George Springer, David Ortiz, Vladimir Guerrero, Alex Gordon, Kirby Puckett, Albert Pujols, Adrian Gonzalez, Dave Winfield, Satchel Paige

Rookie cards: Luke Keaschall, Isaac Collins, Adrian Del Castillo, Shay Whitcomb, Will Warren, Rece Hinds

Refractor (2): Adrian Del Castillo (RC), Adrian Gonzalez

Prism (3): Lourdes Gurriel Jr., Dylan Crews (RC), Jose Cruz

Blue Prism (2): Christopher Morel, Dennis Eckersley

Topps Refractor: Hyeseong Kim (RC, /499)

1955 Doubleheaders (1): Ted Williams/Carl Yastrzemski

1955 Rails and Sails (1): Shohei Ohtani

So, as you can see, it is not what I guessed. I only found a numbered card this time. It’s a Hyeseong Kim topps refractor card, which is numbered to 499. It’s not a low numbered card. Hence, it’s not so rare. Nonetheless, as a Dodgers fan, it’s still a good card to add into the collection.

In addition, there are 5 prism cards in this value box. 5 prism parallels are more than what I expected. Nonetheless, no Dodgers are players, for me, it’s not so ideal. But blue prism cards look good.

Finally, there are 2 inserts. I got a 1955 doubleheaders insert card last time, so I know what it is. Nevertheless, the other insert looks interesting to me. It’s a Shohei Ohtani 1955 rails and sails insert. A Shohei Ohtani card always looks cool to me.

As such, this value box might not be as good as the previous one since there is only one numbered card. But the good news is that I found 2 cool cards. One is a Hyeseong Kim topps refractor card and the other is a Shohei Ohtani insert. As a Dodgers fan, those 2 cards are my favorite from this value box. However, after purchasing 2 blaster boxes of this brand. I guess that’s all.
