A batted ball with an exit velocity of 95 mph or higher is a hard-hit ball. Hard-hit balls usually produce good outcomes. This season, some teams are leading in hard-hit rate. However, do all hard-hit balls produce good outcomes?

In the movie “Moneyball”, it indicated that it’s important to get on base and drawing more walks helps a team win. It’s been more than 10 years since the movie was released and it’s been nearly two decades since the book was published. Of course, there are some other key pieces to win. But, drawing walks is surely beneficial. This season, there are several players who draw a lot of walks.

Bowman is always a popular brand for collectors. Each year, it highlights top prospects in baseball. Of course, you can also see veteran players in this set. For many collectors, they always “invest” a lot in Bowman. However, Bowman is actually getting more and more expensive recently.

Slowness works?

Nowadays, we frequently see a pitcher in the MLB throw a fastball that touches 95 mph or more. For example, Hunter Greene and Jhoan Duran can easily throw a fastball that touches 100 mph. However, not every pitcher can throw as hard as Greene or Hicks does. By contrast, some pitchers rarely throw a fastball that reaches 90 mph.
