Before the trade deadline, Mason Miller had been frequently named as a potential to enhance the bullpen as several rumors were mentioned. In the end, he stayed with the Padres. Miller is one of the dominant relief pitchers in the majors. While reading several posts about him, I was just wondering about one thing.
Miller made his MLB debut in 2023. Back then, he pitched for the A’s. In July 2025, he was traded to the Padres. He’s been outstanding so far this season and it’s very hard for an MLB hitter to collect a hit against Miller. Nonetheless, are there any hitters who have collected multiple hits against Miller? To solve my doubt, I decided to check on the statcast website.
Firstly, Luis Rengifo is now the only player who has collected 3 hits against Mason Miller. All those hits were singles. The first hit came in 2023 and the second hit came in 2024. Rengifo played for the Angels from 2019 to 2025. So the first 2 hits were hit when he played for the Angels. Earlier this season, he played for the Brewers and he got a hit against Miller. Nonetheless, the Padres signed Rengifo in June. Since they are both in the Padres uniform. Hence, in the short-term, it’s impossible to see him collect a hit against Miller.
Meanwhile, there are 8 players who have 2 hits against Miller and let’s see who they are.
Salvador Perez has 2 hits against Mason Miller, both coming in 2023. One of those hits was a home run. Additionally, Jeremy Pena collects 2 singles against Miller.
In addition, Alec Bohm has 2 hits against Mason Miller so far in his career. Both were hit in the 2025 season. Moreover, Julio Rodriguez has collected 2 hits against Miller thus far in his career. Both came in 2024 and one was a home run. And Zach Neto collected his first hit against Mason Miller in 2023 and the other came in 2024.

Since Miller became a closer, he has pitched well. In the 2026 season, we can keep watching Miller’s performance.
