Open a box of 2016 Topps Stadium Club

Last month, I passed by a card shop and tried to explore whether there’s something interesting. There wasn’t much left in the shop. However, I saw a hobby box of 2016 Topps Stadium Club. I was wondering whether there are some top rookie cards in this set. I thought for a while before making a decision. Finally, I decided to buy the only hobby box left in the store.

Topps Stadium Club is always an interesting set to collect because of its high-quality photography. You can find a card with an impressive image easily. Each photo tells a story. I never bought a pack of 2016 Topps Stadium Club before and I didn’t know what to expect. I was just thinking if some rookie cards such as Corey Seager or Kenta Maeda are available in this set. Well, it turned out that I didn’t get a Corey Seager rookie card or a Kenta Maeda rookie card. However, I did find some cards of good rookies such as Trevor Story, Adalberto Mondesi and Aaron Nola. In addition, it’s fun to see gold foil cards in this set. Now, Topps Stadium Club doesn’t have gold foil in the set. Meanwhile, it’s not bad to see some retired players or Hall of Famers in this set. I really like Jim Abbott and his story of pitching in the majors is always inspiring. Finally, two on-card autograph cards are guaranteed in every hobby box. I got one Greg Bird rookie autograph card and a low number autograph card of Chris Heston. When I checked the approximate odds per pack of finding, it showed that, Autograph Gold Foil: 1:148 Well, Greg Bird and Chris Heston didn’t play this season. Thus, it’s not a great result of opening this hobby box. Nonetheless, it’s sometimes fun to open a hobby box.
