Finally, let’s take a look at those players who have drawn more walks this spring. Colton Cowser was invited to spring training by the Orioles. By far, he already drew 13 walks in 21 games. However, he was struck out 15 times. It’s his second spring training with the Orioles. He didn’t crush a home run in the 2022 spring training games. Nonetheless, he already blasted 3 home runs this spring.

Moreover, Conner Capel made his MLB debut last June. In total, he slashed .308/.356/.519 with 3 home runs and 11 RBI in 22 games. In the 2023 spring training, he already drew 11 walks and was struck out only 7 times. At the same time, Jon Berti led the majors with 41 steals in 2022. This spring, he has 4 swipes. Also, he already drew 11 walks and was struck out 10 times. Additionally, Ryan Noda, Brent Rooker and Blake Sabol each drew 11 walks by far this spring.

Of course, hitting well in the spring training games doesn’t necessarily guarantee anything in the regular season. However, it seems that some veteran players such as Matt Olson and Mike Brosseau have been ready for the new season. The Opening Day will come very soon and it will be worth watching whether they will keep hitting well in the regular season.
