Allen and Ginter blaster box

In late December, I was browsing the amazon website, just trying to see if there’s something interesting. I saw that the 2023 Topps Allen and Ginter blaster box was available and the price was reasonable. I only bought some hobby packs of the 2023 Topps Allen and Ginter after this product was released last September. So, I thought that it might be worth buying a blaster box of the 2023 Topps Allen and Ginter.

In total, there are 48 cards in a blaster box. No hits are guaranteed in a blaster box. However, is it possible to find something cool?

Well, let’s see what I got.

Base cards: Justin Verlander, Salvador Perez, Luis Arraez, Mike Trout, Dansby Swanson, Aaron Judge, Pete Alonso, Babe Ruth, Lou Brock, Ryan Howard, Bo Bichette, Rhys Hoskins, Austin Meadows, Zack Wheeler, Javier Baez, Charlie Blackmon, Nick Castellanos, J.T. Realmuto, Yandy Diaz, Caroline O’Connor, J Balvin, Jon Berti, LIL Baby, Liam Hendriks, Thomas Ian Nicholas

Rookie Cards (3): Michael Harris II, Vinnie Pasquantino, Drey Jameson

Short Prints (4): Cal Ripken Jr., Wander Franco, Byron Buxton, Rafael Devers

Music to your ears: Pipa

Talonted (2): Seriema, Harrier

Black border: Alex Rodriguez

Rookie Design Variation: Gunnar Henderson

Unfortunately, I got a blaster box, which was damaged. I was a bit afraid to see some cards which are damaged. And it happened, some baseball cards. It’s always not ideal to see damaged cards. However, I don’t know if it’s good news. There aren’t any hits, so no damaged hits.

Nonetheless, there are still some cool cards. Previously, I never saw a black border mini card or a gold border mini card. So, when I saw a gold border mini card and a black border mini card, I was pretty happy. Well, J Balvin is a well-known star but he’s not a baseball player. It's fun to open some packs of Topps Allen and Ginter. You will find some cards of stars or celebrities. You can also see cards of other sports stars. Nevertheless, if you only like baseball, you might not be so satisfied to see non-baseball player cards.

For me, the best card in this blaster box is probably that I got a Gunnar Henderson rookie design variation card. He slashed .255/.325/.489 with 28 home runs and 82 RBI over 150 games. Henderson won the 2023 AL Rookie of the Year award. In 2024, it will surely be exciting to see if he will hit even better. Perhaps, he will crush 30+ home runs this year?
