Still love archives?

The Topps Archives is one of my favorite brands in baseball cards. Each year, buying some packs of Topps Archives is necessary for me because I can collect baseball cards with designs from different years. And I’m looking for some cool cards from this brand.

A few weeks ago, I bought a 2023 Topps Archives blaster box on amazon. In total, there are 56 cards in a blaster box. No hits are guaranteed in a blaster box.

So, let’s see if I can get something cool this time.

Base cards: Mike Trout, Chipper Jones, Vladimir Guerrero, Wander Franco, MJ Melendez, Tyler O’Neill, Jeremy Pena, Tony Gwynn, Joey Votto, Bob Gibson, Trevor Story, Ichiro, Willie McCovey, Jorge Mateo, Cal Raleigh, Babe Ruth, Cody Bellinger, German Marquez, Stan Musial, Sammy Sosa, Mel Ott, Jose Abreu, Ozzie Albies, Dylan Carlson, Mookie Betts, Adam Wainwright, Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Alex Verdugo, Ian Happ, Carlton Fisk, Marcus Semien, Shohei Ohtani, Jose Altuve, Whitey Ford, Jonathan India

Rookie cards (16): Oscar Colas, Brandon Pfaadt, Shea Langeliers, Drew Waters, Vinnie Pasquantino, Brayan Rocchio, Riley Greene, Joey Meneses, JJ Bleday, DL Hall, Bobby Miller, Gunnar Henderson, Esteury Ruiz, Dominic Fletcher, Anthony Volpe, Cade Cavalli

1969 Topps Single-Player Foil (3): Jeff Bagwell, Joe Mauer, Derek Jeter

1957 Topps Hit Stars: Kirby Puckett

1979 Topps Baseball Comics: Albert Pujols

1989 Topps Double Headers: Vladimir Guerrero / Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

1998 Topps Baby Boomers: Michael Harris II

Unfortunately, neither an autograph card nor a numbered card is found in this blaster box.

Nonetheless, as a Dodgers fan, it’s great to add a Bobby Miller rookie card into my collection. I have some Bobby Miller bowman baseball cards. However, this is the first Bobby Miller rookie card I got. Miller has been a key starting pitcher in the Dodgers rotation since he made it into the big leagues in May 2023. He earned 11 wins in 2023 and owned a 3.76 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP over 124.1 innings. It’s going to be Miller’s 2nd season in the majors. I truly hope that he won’t hit the sophomore wall.

The result of opening this blaster box isn’t ideal. Nonetheless, there are some cool rookie cards. Besides a Bobby Miller rookie card, I found a Gunnar Henderson rookie card and an Anthony Volpe rookie card. And it will be worthwhile to watch their performance in the 2024 season. Spring training games just began. Let’s see if those rookies who played well in 2023 will have a good start in the spring.
