Not so long ago, I listened to a podcast show. In the show, a guest asked an interesting question. He demonstrated that a team has been playing so bad this season and it’s hard to see the team secure a win during the regular season. So, the guest mentioned a player who crushed a lot of home runs this season. That guest was wondering if that player will finish the 2024 season with more home runs than that team’s number of wins.
August is coming to an end. We are heading to the final month of the 2024 regular season. Before coming to September, let’s look at those teams which had played well last month and see which teams had a good August.

In early August, some lucky bags that I ordered arrived. After opening the second lucky bag, I found an interesting relic card. It’s a showcase sticks card from 2001 Fleer. The 2024 Topps Chrome was released in mid-July. It always attracts collectors’ attention. This year, I ordered some hobby packs of the 2024 Topps Chrome on an online sports card shop. And those hobby packs arrived in early August.
The 2024 MLB trade deadline was on July 30. Before the trade deadline, several teams were super busy making decisions. Additionally, many players were going to play for a new team.
I was watching a game on TV, a batter was intentionally walked and the next batter was at bat. On the screen, it clearly showed that the batter hit well when runners are in scoring position in 2024.
