Open a box of Topps Fire 2019

I went to a sports card shop last weekend and found a box of Topps Fire 2019 on sale. Thinking that I might get a cool rookie autograph or relic card. It will be even awesome to have Dodgers players.

Compared to Topps Fire 2018, the overall look is brighter and better. For me, it’s less complicated and the way to present players’ names is also more favorable. 200 cards in the basic set and several kinds of parallels are available. Meanwhile, there are additional inserts.

There are 20 packs in the box, 6 cards per pack and packs with special inserts may contain only 2-4 cards.

Let’s see what I got,
Notable on base cards: Shohei Ohtani, Chipper Jones, Kris Bryant, Mike Trout, Ken Griffey Jr., Derek Jeter, Trevor Hoffman, Alex Rodriguez, Gerrit Cole, Trevor Bauer, Manny Machado, Miguel Cabrera, Nolan Arenado, Joey Gallo, Mookie Betts, Trevor Story, Joey Votto
Dodgers: Justin Turner
Notable on Rookie cards: Brandon Lowe, Kyle Tucker, Kevin Newman, Nick Senzel

Flame parallels (5) – Justin Turner, Alex Bregman, Shin-Soo Choo, Yonder Alonso, Luis Severino
Orange parallels (2) – Nick Markakis, Tucker Barnhart (/299)
Green parallels (1) – Marco Gonzales (/199)

Purple parallels (1) – Jon Duplantier (/99)
Fired Up (1) – Jacob deGrom
Flame Throwers (2) – Blake Treinen, Noah Syndergaard

Smoke & Mirrors (2) – German Marquez, Blake Snell
En Fuego (2) – Yadier Molina, Trevor Story
Maximum Velocity (1) – Giancarlo Stanton
Lasting Legacies (2) – Hank Aaron & Mike Trout, Bob Gibson & Max Scherzer

According to the information on the pack, odds per pack of finding:
Base card parallels (sequentially numbered)
Orange--> 1:11
Green--> 1:17
Purple--> 1:33
Magenta--> 1:129
Inferno--> 1:3,568
Approximately, there are 3 or 4 numbered parallel cards per box. Also, Onyx parallels are available, but not numbered, these are extremely tough, landing 1:242 packs.

Autographs/Memorabilia
Fire Autographs (1) –
Jose Martinez
Fire Relics Purple (1) –
Javier Baez (/50)

Well, the only Dodgers player I found is Justin Turner. At the same time, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., and Eloy Jimenez are not in this box. The autograph is on sticker, I know that most fans want to have autographs on card, but for me, it’s fine to see Jose Martinez’s autograph on the sticker. The Javier Baez relic card is definitely my favorite in this box. It’s always entertaining to watch “El Mago” play and he’s very passionate and creative on the field.
