This team is on Fire

We are heading into the final week of the 2020 regular season. Seven teams already clinched the playoffs. They are Tampa Bay Rays, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres. In the final week, we are going to see several teams fight for their spots in the postseason. In particular, the National League playoff race could be really wild.

There is one team, which is really hot in September.

Take a look at OPS in September. There are three Braves players in the top 5. Freddie Freeman is leading the majors with a 1.278 OPS. Marcell Ozuna signed a one-year contract with the Braves and it seems like a pretty good deal. Ozuna is currently hitting .317/.406/.599. His OPS was .851 in August. In September, Ozuna’s OPS is over 1.000. There is no doubt about Acuna’s potential and he will be one of the most dangerous hitters in the majors. Acuna had a really hot August. His OPS was 1.244 in August, he seems to cool down this month since his batting average is only .250 in September. Nevertheless, Acuna’s OPS is still over 1.000 in September.

Freddie Freeman and Marcell Ozuna are in the top 2 in RBI in September. Adam Duvall and Ronald Acuna are also in the top 10. The Braves truly hit a lot of runs in September.

The Atlanta Braves are trying to win the division title in three consecutive seasons and they are leading in the NL East. Freedie Freeman currently has a very good September and is one of the favorites in the NL MVP race. Meanwhile, Adam Duvall keeps crushing home runs in September. Marcell Ozuna is a two-time All-Star and he finished the 2017 season with a career high .924 OPS. He will probably set a new career high this season. We definitely won’t ignore Ronald Acuna Jr., one of the most talented young players. With Ozzie Albies back to the lineup, the Braves lineup will be a very dangerous lineup in October baseball.
