2023 Topps Series 1 blaster box

A few weeks ago, I was browsing on the Amazon website. I found that there were 2023 Topps Series 1 blaster boxes available. Additionally, some vendors sold them at a good price.

So, I decided to buy a blaster box of the 2023 Topps Series 1, trying to see whether I could get some cool cards.

Now, let’s see what I got.

Notable on base cards: Juan Soto, Bryce Harper, Yadier Molina, Bobby Witt Jr., Miguel Cabrera, Byron Buxton, Jacob deGrom, Eduardo Rodriguez, Triston McKenzie, Kyle Bradish, Sonny Gray, Keibert Ruiz, Cody Bellinger, Nestor Cortes, Alex Verdugo, Ronald Acuna Jr., Kris Bryant, Cal Raleigh, Carlos Carrasco, Jordan Romano, Starling Marte, Gary Sanchez, Blake Snell, Jhoan Duran, Corbin Burnes, Yandy Diaz, Ryan Pressly, Gavin Lux, Max Kepler, Jose Ramirez, Matt Chapman, Yasmani Grandal, J.T. Realmuto, Bryson Stott, Sean Murphy, Corey Seager, Brady Singer

Royal Blue Parallel (1): Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Stars of MLB (7): Ronald Acuna Jr., Alex Bregman, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto, Riley Greene, Ozzie Albies

1988 Topps (2): Triston Casas, Freddie Freeman

Stars of MLB chrome (1): Julio Rodriguez

Welcome to the Club (1): Hank Aaron

Commemorative Team Logo Patch (1): Rafael Devers

To be honest, there’s really nothing special from this blaster box. There’s a royal blue parallel card. However, I didn’t see any numbered cards. If I have to grade this blaster box, the grade will be C.

However, the good news is that I added another Julio Rodriguez insert into my collection.

Last year, I met a friend in a card shop. He’s an owner of a bar and likes to collect some inserts. Back then, I was opening some packs of the 2022 Topps Update Series. He asked me if I got some Julio Rodriguez cards. Well, I didn’t get any Julio Rodriguez cards from the 2022 Topps Update Series. But, that bar owner asked me if I have some inserts, he would like to buy them because he likes to collect inserts. Hence, I guess that adding some inserts is not bad. Next time, I will ask that bar owner to see if he does collect some Julio Rodriguez inserts and I will tell him that I got a Julio Rodriguez insert from the 2023 Topps Series 1.

Overall, this blaster box is not a great one for me. I didn’t find some cool rookie cards as I expected. Nonetheless, at least I found a Julio Rodriguez chrome card. Well, it’s fun to open some packs of the 2023 Topps Series 1 blaster box. Nevertheless, sometimes, the results are just not good.
