Topps Pro Debut is a cool product to cover rising stars in the minors. It’s not a popular product, but it’s an interesting product. Previously, I bought some hobby packs of Topps Pro Debut and it’s pretty good to find some stars of tomorrow.
Autographs (3): Tres Gonzalez, Alex Freeland, Juan Guerrero
In a hobby box, there are 24 hobby packs and it’s expected to have 4 autographs. For me, I was thinking that it’s possible to get 2 or 3 autograph cards this time. And, yes, I got 3 autograph cards. Well, those 3 autograph cards are base autographs. However, it’s wonderful to collect an Alex Freeland autograph card. Freeland was selected by the Dodgers in the third round of the 2022 draft and is now playing for the Great Lakes Loons. As a Dodgers fan, it’s always great to collect some baseball cards that include future stars from the Dodgers farm system. Additionally, I got an Andy Pages numbered card. Andy Pages is now a top 10 prospect of the Dodgers and it’s expected to see him make his MLB debut soon.
When it comes to making it into the big leagues, no one will ignore Elly De La Cruz. He made his MLB debut on June 6, 2023. In his first season in the majors, he played 98 games for the Reds, hitting .235/.300/.410 with 13 home runs and 44 RBI. He’s one of the top rookies, who made instant impacts in the 2023 season. However, his rookie card is not available at this moment. When I saw an Elly De La Cruz base card in the Topps Pro Debut, I was just so glad to have my first Elly De La Cruz card.
The result of opening 18 packs of the 2023 Topps Pro Debut was great. I’m satisfied to have an Elly De La Cruz baseball card and 3 autograph cards. In the 2024 season, I’m looking forward to seeing some of these rising stars be called up.
