A good blaster box of 2023 Series 2?

In mid-June, I bought some hobby packs and jumbo packs of the 2023 Topps Series 2 baseball cards. For me, a key thing about this series is that it’s getting more expensive. In particular, a jumbo pack’s price increases dramatically. I really don’t know if this is good for the market.

Hence, when I saw some 2023 Topps Series 2 blaster boxes available online and the price was affordable, I decided to buy a blaster box of this product to see whether I can get something cool.

So, let’s see if I got what I wanted.

Well, there’s no numbered card in this blaster box. Nonetheless, I found something interesting.

Firstly, I’ve been looking for a Masataka Yoshida rookie card for a while. Eventually, I got his rookie card from this blaster box. I used to watch him crush a home run in a game in Asia. Back then, I was fascinated by his ability to swing. In 2023, he’s a key member of Samurai Japan, which won the World Baseball Classic Championship. So, I’m glad to add his rookie card into my collection.

In addition, I found a World Baseball Classic stars card and it’s a Lee Jung-hoo baseball card. He’s a star player from Korea and would be posted for MLB clubs after the 2023 season. It will be very interesting to see which team will agree to a deal with him. Besides this card, I’m looking forward to seeing his rookie card in 2024.

Finally, there’s a 1988 Topps All-Star Blue Parallel card and on the front, we can see that it’s the Hall of Famer Greg Maddux. Well, it’s not so easy to find a blue parallel insert card in a blaster box. Although it’s not numbered, it’s a cool card to collect.

It might not be a great blaster box. Nevertheless, I found some cards that I would like to collect. For example, a rookie card that I’d been waiting for a while. And, I got 2 cool inserts.
