Love to hit at Chase Field?

Again, Corey Seager was named the World Series MVP. In the 2023 World Series, Seager slashed .286/.375/.762 with 3 home runs and 6 RBI in 5 games. In particular, he crushed 2 home runs and collected 4 RBI at Chase Field in the 2023 World Series. Before inking a long-term deal with the Rangers, Seager had played for the Dodgers for 7 seasons. While seeing his great performance in the World Series and of course, at Chase Field, I was just thinking about a question.

It seems that Seager hits well at Chase Field. And, after checking the stats on the great baseball reference website, without doubt, his performance is good at this ballpark. By far in his career, Seager hits .298/.389/.556 with 9 home runs and 24 RBI in 45 games at Chase Field.

Seager’s numbers are impressive. However, I’m also wondering which players love to visit the Chase Field. To understand a little bit more, I went to check on the statcast website.

Freddie Freeman has played 14 seasons in the majors. He’s one of the most dangerous hitters in the league. After signing with the Dodgers, it’s very common to see him travel with the Dodgers to play at Chase Field. By far in his career, Freeman has 76 hits over 48 games at Chase Field. At this ballpark, his batting average is over .380 and his OPS is over 1.000.

Pablo Sandoval is another World Series MVP who likes to play at Chase Field. He spent 14 seasons in the majors, hitting .278/.330/.443 with 153 home runs and 639 RBI. Sandoval began his career with the Giants, so visiting Chase Field was very common. In his career, he slashed .329/.390/.498 with 8 home runs and 42 RBI over 74 games at this ballpark.

In addition, Adrian Gonzalez spent 15 seasons in the big leagues, hitting .287/.358/.485 with 317 home runs and 1202 RBI. In his career, he was hitting .313/.388/.570 with 21 home runs and 72 RBI at Chase Field. From 2008 to 2017, he had 82 hits at this ballpark.

Moreover, Buster Posey spent his entire career with the Giants. So, there’s no doubt that he frequently traveled to this ballpark. In Posey’s career, he collected 102 hits in 87 games at Chase Field. His batting average at this ballpark is over .320 and had an OPS over .800.

Finally, Justin Turner has 82 hits at Chase Field so far in his career and his batting average is over .300. Moreover, Hunter Pence played 67 games at Chase Field in his career, hitting .318/.384/.558 with 14 home runs and 42 RBI. From 2008 to 2019, he had a .305 BA at this ballpark. Furthermore, Andre Ethier, who spent 12 seasons with the Dodgers, was actually born in Arizona and made his MLB debut at Chase Field. In his career, Ethier played 76 games at Chase Field, batting .303/.360/.495 with 6 home runs and 37 RBI. From 2008 to 2016, he collected 65 hits and had a batting average over .300 at Chase Field.

Without doubt, Corey Seager has been excellent while playing at Chase Field. So, it’s not a surprise to see him hit well during the World Series. Furthermore, several players like to hit at this ballpark. However, on the chart, some of those players are retired and only Freddie Freeman is currently playing for a team in the NL West and will travel to Arizona often. He’s surely a dangerous hitter that the D-backs’ pitchers must be very careful while facing him.
