First time opening a box of Topps Holiday

Last month, I watched some card opening videos on YouTube and a YouTuber indicated that Topps Holiday is worth trying because a relic, an autograph or an autograph relic card is guaranteed in every mega box. Additionally, the price per mega box is reasonable.

Well, I passed by a store and found that Topps Holiday was available. I bought a 2021 Topps Holiday Mega box. Let's see what I got.

Relics (1) – William Contreras (RC) Well, there are actually many rookie cards in this Mega box and for me, it’s always joyful to collect rookie cards. Jonathan India won the 2021 NL Rookie of the Year award and I found two Jonathan India’s rookie cards. One is a base card and the other is a metallic holiday parallel card. Moreover, other top rookies such as Dylan Carlson and Tyler Stephenson each had a good 2021 season and it’s also good to have baseball cards of these players. In addition, there’s usually a variation card in every box. This time, I got a short print variation card of Eloy Jimenez. It’s not a rare or super rare variation short print, so there’s not tons of value. However, it’s pretty fun to see Eloy Jimenez with a candy can sleeve. Finally, I didn’t get an autograph. But, a player-worn relic card is ok. At least, it’s not a manufactured relic card. William Contreras just turned 24 a few days ago and I hope to see him play well in 2022.
It’s actually my first time seeing Topps Holiday baseball cards and I decided to open this product. Overall, the result of opening this mega box is not so good. However, the price per mega box is reasonable and each box offers a hit, which is not a manufactured one. If the price of a 2022 Topps Holiday mega box stays the same, I will probably buy one next year and try to find some cool rookie cards.
