And, this move means that he will reunite with Max Scherzer.

In 2014, Verlander and Scherzer each earned more than 15 wins. However, Verlander had an ERA over 4. But, Scherzer was quite reliable. He posted a 3.15 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP in 220.1 innings. At the same time, the Tigers won 90 games in 2014 and clinched a spot in the postseason.
Looking back at the stats from 2010 to 2014, Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer each earned 10+ wins in each of those 5 seasons. Furthermore, they each became the Cy Young award winner. Moreover, from 2011 to 2014, the Tigers won the AL Central champions 4 consecutive seasons. They did have great days while playing for the Tigers. In 2023, these 2 Cy Young award winners will play a very important part in the Mets rotation. In the 2023 season, will they each earn 10+ wins for the Mets?
