Unstoppable in June?

June just came to an end. Hence, very soon, the All-Star break will come. In June, several players had played very well and it’s highly possible that some of them will become All-Stars.

Firstly, let’s see which players did hit well in June.

Cal Raleigh has been phenomenal this season. So far, he has blasted 30+ home runs. Last season, he smashed 34 home runs over 153 games. You can see how huge the difference is. In June, Raleigh collected 17 extra base hits. Among those 16 extra base hits, 11 were home runs.

Meanwhile, Eugenio Suarez has been hitting well in 2025 with an OPS over .800. In June, he had 16 extra base hits and among those 16 XBHs, 11 were home runs. Last month, Suarez posted an OPS over 1.000. He’s surely an important hitter in the D-backs lineup.

Well, the Rockies don’t have a good season. They don’t even reach 20 wins thus far. However, it’s worthwhile to take a look at Hunter Goodman, who now has an OPS over .800. In particular, Goodman hit very well in June with 15 extra base hits and owned an OPS over 1.000. Back in May, Goodman’s OPS was below .700. He certainly heated up in June.

Also, Riley Greene, who’s been an important hitter in the Tigers lineup, had 15 extra base hits in June and his OPS was over 1.000. At the same time, 10 other players each collected 14 extra base hits last month.

In addition, let’s look at top pitching performances in June. Ranger Suarez made 6 starts last month and all were quality starts. In June, he owned a 1.30 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP over 41.2 innings. Additionally, Logan Webb had 6 quality starts as well. Webb tossed 40.1 innings in June, posting a 2.23 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP.

Furthermore, Brayan Bello made 5 starts in June and all those starts were quality starts. He owned a 2.87 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP over 31.1 innings. Bello certainly bounced back from May. In May, he posted an ERA over 4.

In the meantime, Max Fried is now the ace of the Yankees. Last month, he pitched outstandingly. He made 5 starts and all were quality starts. Fried owned a 1.91 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP over 33 innings in June.

Moreover, another starter from the Phillies had done a good job in June. Cristopher Sanchez finished the month with an ERA below 2 and a WHIP below 1. He had 5 quality starts in June as well.

Finally, Jacob deGrom was fantastic on the mound in June. He made 5 starts, posting a 1.41 ERA and a 0.72 WHIP over 32 innings.

Looking back at the performance last month, Cal Raleigh has been so great this season and it doesn’t seem that he’s going to stop. Furthermore, it will be interesting to see his performance in the home run derby. And Hunter Goodman had a great month of June and let’s see whether he will stay hot in July. On the mound, it’s clear that deGrom is outstanding when he’s healthy. At the same time, the 2 starters from the Phillies had done a tremendous job.
