Good spring

In less than two weeks, the 2021 season will begin. Baseball will be officially back and fans will be back in the stadium. In spring training, some players are really hot and can’t wait to show how well prepared they are for the new season.

Home runs make fans excited. So far in this spring, a player already blasted 6 homers and 6 players already smashed 5 home runs.

The winter did not cool down the World Series MVP Corey Seager. He is still really hot in the spring and has 6 home runs so far. He’ll be a free agent after the 2021 season, what numbers will he show us?

Michael Chavis and Bobby Dalbec are 25 years old and if they stay hot, along with Xander Bogaerts and Rafael Devers, it will be interesting to watch the Red Sox lineup.

The Mariners acquired Ty France last August. He batted .305/.368/.468 in 2020. He’s quite hot in spring training with 5 home runs and 10 RBI so far. It will be worthwhile to see whether he can stay hot during the regular season.

Joey Gallo already has 5 homers so far in spring training. In 2018, Gallo crushed 5 homers in spring training and he finished that season with 40 homers.

Matt Olson only batted .195/.310/.424 last season, but he seems to be ready for the 2021 season since he already has 5 homers.

Joc Pederson signed a one-year deal with the Cubs and he’s looking for more opportunities to hit. He’s currently hitting well in spring training with 5 home runs. However, it’ll be truly worth watching whether he can hit against lefties since all 5 homers were against right-handed pitchers so far in spring training.

Ke’Bryan Hayes

Josh Rojas batted .180/.257/.180 last season. He only had 11 hits in 2020 and so far in spring training, Rojas already has 17 hits. Is he going to have a breakout season? Let’s see.

Ty France has 15 hits. At the same time, two players from the Pirates also have 15 hits. Adam Frazier slashed .230/.297/.364 last season. Nonetheless, he’s unstoppable in this spring and he’s currently hitting .577/.593/.885. Ke’Bryan Hayes was called up last September and he did hit very well, slashing .376/.442/.682. Hayes is only 24 years old and it’ll be worth watching what numbers he will have in a 162-game season.

Spring training stats usually don’t matter. A player who has a good spring training doesn’t always translate his performance to the regular season. A player who’s really bad in spring training doesn’t mean that he will have a bad season. However, for some players, it’s important to play well in the spring training games, so managers and coaching staff would be impressed by their skills and performance and those players can make the team on the opening day. These players who are really hot in spring training provide excitement to fans and it’ll be important for them to maintain good performance for a long season.
