Ready for Opening Day?

The 2021 opening day is just around the corner. There will be baseball and also there will be many baseball cards available. Topps opening day is an entry-level product. Lots of baseball cards are getting more expensive recently, but Topps opening day is an affordable choice for everyone. I always buy some packs of Topps opening day for friends and share the joy of collecting. This year, it doesn’t change. There are some cool inserts and we can find mascot cards in this set as well. It’s an interesting product to collect. Nonetheless, if you like to get an autograph card or a relic card, it’s extremely hard and other products might be better choices for you. Ripping some packs of Topps opening day 2021 is fun and there shall be a lot of fun on the 2021 opening day. And, there are several cool things that will be worth watching. Firstly, several Cy Young winners will start on opening day. Shane Bieber threw 14 strikeouts in his first start last season, how many strikeouts will he throw to begin this season? Clayton Kershaw was supposed to be the Dodgers’ opening day starter last season, however, back injury forced him to miss the opening day start. He didn’t pitch on the 2019 opening day, either. What will the three-time Cy Young winner and the 2020 World Series champion perform at Coors Field? Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer will face each other on opening day again. The Nationals hosted the Mets on the 2019 opening day, Jacob deGrom threw 10 strikeouts and did not allow a run in 6 innings, at the same time, Max Scherzer tossed 7.2 innings with 12 strikeouts and allowed 2 earned runs. Will they each record double-digit strikeouts again? Additionally, Zack Greinke is the other Cy Young winner that will start on opening day. Japanese fans must be excited because two great Japanese pitchers will start on opening day. Kenta Maeda will make his opening day start in Milwaukee, he finished 2nd in the AL Cy Young voting in 2020. Will he replicate his good performance last season? Yu Darvish finished 2nd in the NL Cy Young voting last season, he was traded to the Padres last December, will the new ace of the Padres dominate on opening day?  Finally, pitchers are going to hit in the National League ballparks. There was a universal DH rule in 2020 and we didn’t see pitchers hit last season. Without universal DH rule this year, pitchers will have to bat. Can a pitcher get a hit on opening day? If so, which pitcher will collect the first hit? Baseball is back and fans will be back. I believe that millions of people are truly excited for the new season and are looking forward to seeing great performance. However, since the covid-19 pandemic is still not totally under control and several players were injured during spring training, it’s extremely important for players, coaches and fans to follow the safety protocols and stay healthy. A 162-game marathon will start soon.
