Moreover, the Milwaukee Brewers are now leading the NL Central. In July, they got 17 wins and had 7 losses. A main reason behind their good performance is that their pitchers had done a good job with an ERA of 3.13 and a 1.08 WHIP.

In addition, another team in the AL East had played well in July. The Toronto Blue Jays had a pretty good month. They won 18 games and lost 8 times. Last month, they owned a 4.48 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP. At the same time, they owned an OPS over .800. And they had 262 hits, most among 30 MLB teams. The Blue Jays are now leading the AL East.

In the meantime, the Texas Rangers, which won the 2023 World Series title, had played well in July. They finished the month with 16 wins and 9 losses. Their pitchers had been dominant on the mound with a 3.08 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP. Additionally, they owned an OPS over .740 last month.

Finally, the Royals had played well in July. They posted a 3.65 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. And they owned an OPS over .750. They got 15 wins last month. Furthermore, let’s take a look at 2 teams in the NL. The Miami Marlins actually had played well in July with 15 wins and 10 losses. In particular, their pitching staff were outstanding. They posted a 2.60 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP last month. A 1.04 WHIP was the lowest among 30 MLB teams. Meanwhile, the Padres had 15 wins in July as well. Their pitching staff finished the month with a 3.19 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP.

Looking back at the month of July, the Blue Jays now take the lead in the AL East and there must be some reasons. Their offense was great and their pitching staff got the job done. The last time that the Blue Jays won the AL East title was in 2015. It will be worthwhile to see whether the Blue Jays will become the AL East champions for the first time since 2015. In the meantime, the Boston Red Sox and the Ranges had played well in July and it will be interesting to see if they can keep this momentum in the coming months. They are now trying to clinch a berth in the postseason. In the National League, with a good performance in July, the Brewers are now leading the NL Central. Let’s keep watching if they will win the NL Central for 3 consecutive seasons. And, how about the Marlins? Their pitching staff had been great in July.
