The 2026 Topps Series 1 arrived in mid-February. Around a week after this product was released, I went to a sports card shop to see if this product was still available there. Well, the only choice there was some mega boxes. I didn’t have many options. Hence, I chose a mega box of the 2026 Topps Series 1.

Since it’s a mega box, my expectation was modest. I just wanted to see if I could find some cool rookie cards. And let’s see what I got.

The design has been different this year and I like the design. Moreover, I found some rookie cards that look pretty cool to me. For example, I found a Jacob Misiorowski rookie card and a Roman Anthony rookie card. There are really a lot of rookie cards in this set.
In addition, there are cool inserts. I found a Jose Ramirez big ticket insert. The card looks beautiful. And Freddie Freeman 2025 greatest hits insert also looks good.
Finally, there’s a hit, which I didn’t expect. It’s a Dansby Swanson game-used memorabilia card. It’s certainly a great card to collect. It’s not numbered, but it’s a hit. Furthermore, there’s a low-numbered card. It’s an Independence Day parallel and it’s numbered to 76. You can clearly see the design with the flag of the United States.
I’m glad I chose this mega box. Well, I didn’t have many choices. However, the result is good. I got some cool rookie cards and I like some inserts. And I couldn’t believe that there was a hit.
