A few weeks ago, I watched a highlight on YouTube. In the highlight, a batter, who’s playing for the away team, crushed a home run at Dodger stadium. And the highlight showed that the batter has crushed a lot of home runs at this ballpark.

A couple of weeks ago, I watched a game on TV. A player was ready to pinch hit, on the screen, it clearly showed that his hard-hit rate changes. Back in 2023, his hard-hit rate was below 35%. This season, his hard-hit rate is over 40%.

Fair or unfair?

A couple of weeks ago, I watched a baseball game on TV. In a game, some of a pitcher’s pitches, which were out of the strike zone, were called strikes. After watching the game and seeing several called strikes that were out of the zone, I began to think about some questions.

In late June, I listened to a podcast show. In the show, an analyst indicated that a pitcher’s fastball is amazing. That pitcher’s fastballs frequently touch triple digits and opponents couldn’t hit well against his fastballs. After listening to the podcast show, I began to think about a question.

In late June, I was browsing an online sports card shop. I saw some lucky bags available. And a lucky bag product looked quite interesting. In that product, there are 4 hobby packs of the 2024 Topps Series 2. I was thinking if I should buy some lucky bags.

Third wild card

A couple of weeks ago, I listened to a podcast show. In the show, the host asked a guest several questions. One question was truly interesting. They discussed the third wild card spot and indicated that the third wild card spot is wide open now and several teams could make it into the postseason by clinching the third wild card spot.

Not a flamethrower anymore?

A few weeks ago, I watched a baseball game on TV and Walker Buehler was pitching for the Dodgers. From 2018 to 2021, he was one of the most dominant pitchers in the majors. And the Dodgers heavily relied on him and he didn’t let the team down. In particular, he was fantastic in the 2020 postseason. Nonetheless, he underwent 2nd Tommy John surgery in 2022.

Good first half?

Very soon, the first half of the 2024 season will come to an end. In the first half of this season, several rookies have done a tremendous job and lots of fans are so excited to watch their great performances. And let’s take a quick look at their performances.
