Pitchers and catchers are about to report. The 2026 spring training will begin soon. The baseball season is gradually back. In the new season, we might witness something cool.
Firstly, let’s look at some players who are close to reaching 2000 hits. Nolan Arenado has 1921 hits so far in his career. In 2025, he had 95 hits in 107 games. If Arenado stays healthy, the D-backs fans shall see him reach 2000 hits in the first half of the 2026 season. Meanwhile, Carlos Santana has 1880 hits thus far in his career. He needs 120 hits to reach 2000 career hits. However, last season, Santana had 91 hits in 124 games. Back in 2024, he had 124 hits over 150 games. Santana might need enough plate appearances so that he has a chance to reach 2000 hits in 2026.
In addition, let’s look at home run records. Paul Goldschmidt has 372 home runs thus far. Manny Machado has blasted 369 home runs in his career. Aaron Judge now has 368 home runs and Freddie Freeman has 367 home runs. At the same time, Bryce Harper has 363 home runs. Among them, Aaron Judge is the only one who blasted more than 30 home runs last year. The Yankees fans must be looking forward to seeing Judge reach 400. Also, Marcell Ozuna, George Springer and Mookie Betts each have 290+ home runs so far in their careers. Ozuna smashed 21 home runs over 145 games in 2025 and needs 4 home runs to reach 300. It doesn’t look like a huge problem for him to reach 300 home runs. Nevertheless, he’s a free agent and has to sign a contract first. George Springer blasted 32 home runs over 140 games in 2025. We shouldn’t be surprised to see him reach 300 career home runs because he only needs 7. In the meantime, Mookie Betts has 291 home runs thus far in his career. He smashed 20 home runs over 150 games in 2025. If Mookie Betts stays healthy, we shall see him reach 300 in 2026. Meanwhile, Matt Olson and Jose Ramirez each have smashed 280+ home runs thus far and they aren’t so from 300 home runs.
Moreover, Eugenio Suarez has 949 RBI so far in his career. Last season, he collected 118 RBI. He inked a deal with the Reds. The Reds fans shall see him reach 1000 career RBI this year. Jose Ramirez has 949 career RBI as well. He collected 85 RBI over 158 games in 2025. Ramirez should be able to reach 1000 RBI in 2026. And, Marcell Ozuna has 948 career RBI and needs 52 to reach 1000. Ozuna had 68 RBI last season. At the same time, Nick Castellanos has 920 RBI thus far in his career. Nonetheless, he only had 72 RBI in 147 games last year. It would be interesting to see if he could reach 1000 RBI in 2026.
Finally, Jose Ramirez has stolen 287 bases. In 2025, he had 44 steals. There shouldn’t be a huge problem for him to reach 300 stolen bases.
As we can see, the 2026 season will be an interesting one for several players. Nolan Arenado will play for the Diamondbacks and let’s see when he will reach 2000 career hits. Meanwhile, it could be a big season for Jose Ramirez. If he stays healthy and plays as he did in 2025, he shall reach several key milestones. He might reach 300 home runs, 1000 RBI and 300 stolen bases. There aren’t many players who can do that. Furthermore, how about Aaron Judge? Are we going to see him reach 400 home runs very soon?
